道生一，一生二，二生三，三生萬物。萬物負陰而抱陽，沖氣以為和。
My translation of chapter 42 of Tao Te Ching:
Tao begets One
the beginning of existence
One develops into Two
the birth of opposites
Two unites to become Three
the essence of everything
Everything carries Yin and embraces Yang
With Tao, Yin an Yang are in harmony
Paul's comment: The best way to have an experiential understanding of Tao is through Taoist meditation. Without an experiential understanding, Tao is almost meaningless!
