尊重正教分第十二
復次,須菩提,隨說是經,乃至四句偈等,當知此處,一切世間天人阿修羅皆應供養,如佛廟塔,何況有人,盡能受持讀誦。須菩提！當知是人,成就最上第一希有之法,若是經典所在之處,則為有佛,若尊重弟子。
My rendition: The highly respected
“Furthermore, Subhuti, wherever one mentions this Sutra, for example any four-line verse, the place, on that moment, will be protected and venerated as a Buddha-shrine by all Buddhist protector Asuras in this physical world. How much more so is the case where one recites and takes vows upon this Sutra! You should know that such a person has taken vows upon the highest and rarest Dharma. Wherever there is this Sutra, there will be Buddha and His revered disciples.”
Paul's comment: The Buddha stressed the importance of this Sutra. Simply put, this Sutra is equivalent to the Buddha.
